On 29 March 2019, the head of the Joint Municipal Institution "Rēzekne SEZ Authority” Sandra Ežmale participated in the Project Steering committee meeting of the “TRANS-FORM” LLI-386 in Visagina, Lithuania. 

Project manager Laila Vilmane informed the participants on the first 12 month period of the project implementation run. During the first 12 months several meetings, trainings, experience exchange and study visits were organized. Actual rehabilitation and cleaning of territories with environmental problems took place in 4 partner sites in Lūznava (Rēzekne Municipality), Daugavpils Fortress, Krāslava and Skaistkalnis Park in Panevėžys. Planning documents in the form of concept notes, plans, maps were elaborated. 

In 2019 Methodological Handbook for planners and action plans for revitalization of pilot areas will be elaborated, study visits to Germany and the Netherlands will be organized, trainings will take place in Panevėžys and Visaginas.

The total amount of funding allocated by the European regional development Fund is 442 296,58 euros. In turn, the total cost of the project is 520 348, 94 euros. The amount of funding under the project for the Rezekne municipality is 44 704,00 euros, of which equity financing of the European regional development Fund 37 998,40, and equity financing of the state budget in the Rezekne SEZ is, respectively, 3 788,02 and 6705,60 euros.
