Summing up the preliminary performance indicators of the companies in 2015, it has to be recognized that the commercial enterprises of RSEZ have increased their turnover substantially, and the performance indicators will be better than in the previous year.
On 7 December 2015, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Sweden in Latvia Henrik Landerholm during official visit to Rezekne had a meeting with the heads of Rezekne City Council and Rezekne Special Economic Zone and visited the company "LEAX Rezekne".
The Annual Award 2015 of the Employers’ Confederation of Latvia (LDDK) as the best employer in Latgale region is awarded to the RSEZ Company “VEREMS”. The RSEZ Administration is proud of one of the largest RSEZ companies, which is a successful example of the sustainable and socially responsible entrepreneurship for many years.
In the survey of the most promising economic zones in the world conducted by the “fDi Magazine” of the popular British newspaper “Financial Times”, the Rezekne Special Economic Zone has been commended in two categories of the bespoke awards – for infrastructure improvements and for reinvestment.
On 18-19 September, 2015, the Administration of RSEZ participated at the event “Days of Entrepreneurs in Latgale 2015” at the Daugavpils Olympic Centre. Participation in the business fairs is one of the possibilities to inform the entrepreneurs and the potential investors about business opportunities on the territory of the RSEZ.
Within the framework of RSEZ Year Award Competition for the results achieved in 2014, two companies received the Year Award – metalworking company Ltd. “LEAX Rēzekne” RSEZ in the group of medium-sized/large enterprises and company “Rēzeknes Dzirnavnieks” RSEZ JSC in the group of small companies.
