RSEZ Companies of the Year – NewFuels, VEREMS and Rēzeknes Dzirnavnieks
On August 12, 2016 RSEZ granted awards to the winners of RSEZ Enterprise Year Award competition for the fifth time. Based on the performance indicators of the enterprises from 2015, award “Company of the Year” was granted to three enterprises – to “NewFuels” RSEZ SIA and “VEREMS” RSEZ SIA in the group of large and medium-sized enterprises and to “Rēzeknes Dzirnavnieks” RSEZ AS in the group of small enterprises.
In the competition two enterprises has been acknowledged as the winners in the nomination “Company of the Year” in the group of large and medium-sized enterprises: producer of wooden pellets “NewFuels” RSEZ SIA and birch plywood mill “VEREMS” RSEZ SIA. Enterprise “NewFuels” RSEZ SIA in the competition of RSEZ Enterprise Year Award has received recognition in following nominations: 1st place in nominations “Investments of the Year” and “Fastest Growing Enterprise”, 2nd place in nominations “Producer of the Year”, “Largest Tax Payer” and “Largest Exporter”. Furthermore, upon the recommendation of social partners enterprise also had received certificate of acknowledgement “For Promotion of Employment”. In 2015 enterprise had made investments amounting to 7.7 million euros, total turnover of the company has been 15.4 million euros. “NewFuels” RSEZ SIA has 52 employees.
Meanwhile producer of birch plywood “VEREMS” RSEZ SIA had received acknowledgment in following nominations: 1st place in nominations “Producer of the Year”, “Largest Tax Payer” and “Fastest Growing Enterprise”, 3rd place in nominations “Largest Exporter” and “Investments of the Year”. Enterprise also has received the certificate of recognition as “The Most Stabile Enterprise”. In 2015 the total turnover of the enterprise has been 29.9 million euros and the total amount of taxes paid has been more than 2 million euros. Currently enterprise employs 339 employees.
In the group of small enterprises the award in nomination “Enterprise of the Year” had been granted to “Rēzeknes dzirnavnieks” RSEZ AS. Grain elevator company had received recognition in following nominations: 1st place in nominations “Service Provider of the Year”, “Largest Tax Payer” and “Fastest Growing Enterprise”, 3rd place in nomination “Investments of the Year”. “Rēzeknes dzirnavnieks” RSEZ AS in 2015 had provided services in amount of 4 million euros and employed 36 employees, furthermore, the total turnover of the company in 2015 has grown by 20%.
RSEZ Enterprise Year Award competition is organized by the Joint Municipal Institution “Rezekne Special Economic Zone Authority” with an aim to acknowledge and honour the most successful RSEZ enterprises as well as their products and services. Assessment of the achievements of RSEZ enterprises had taken place through evaluation of enterprises in 8 nominations: “The Service Provider of the Year”, “The Manufacturer of the Year”, “The Biggest Exporter”, “The Biggest Tax Payer”, and “The Investment of the Year ”,“ The Innovation of the Year ”,”The Most Rapidly Growing Enterprise and The Enterprise of the Year”. Enterprises had been be evaluated in groups of large/medium sized and small enterprises.
In the competition of RSEZ Enterprise Year Award certificates of acknowledgement in the group of large and medium-sized enterprises had been granted to enterprises: SIA “LEAX Rēzekne” RSEZ, “REBIR” RSEZ AS and RSEZ “MAGISTR-FISKEVEGN GROUP.MFG” SIA. Meanwhile, in the group of small enterprises Certificates of Acknowledgement for contribution to the development of RSEZ in 2015 had been granted to enterprises “NORDKOM” RSEZ SIA, “TURMANS” RSEZ SIA, RSEZ “LATION” SIA, “MB Properties” RSEZ SIA, SIA RSEZ “DFD”, RSEZ SIA “IRBIS Technology”, “EsJu” RSEZ SIA, RSEZ “REDIUS” SIA and “Atmosclear CHP” RSEZ SIA.
