Rezekne SEZ receives recognition in "Economic Zone Sustainable Recovery Strategies Awards 2021"

Rezekne Special Economic Zone Authority took part in the "Economic Zone Sustainable Recovery Strategies Awards 2021", organized by the journalists and Fdi experts of “Investment Monitor”. Economic zones of all types were invited to complete a short survey demonstrating their zone’s excellence in the following categories: digitisation, aftercare support, Covid relief packages, local impact, red tape reduction, new investment, and sustainability and ESG.

Rezekne SEZ has been recognised as runner up in the Aftercare support category for providing tailor-made aftercare services for companies and assistance in cooperation with other institutions in the region. Rezekne SEZ also received an honourable mention in the Red tape reduction category.

Moreover Rezekne SEZ received two editor’s choice awards for Encouraging entrepreneurship and Inter-institutional co-operation. These awards have been granted, at the editor’s discretion, to recognise noteworthy initiatives that sit outside the fixed categories.

The winning zones will be announced and recognised in a virtual award ceremony on Wednesday 6th October as part of the Barcelona New Economy Week event. The ceremony will be hosted by Investment Monitor editor-in-chief Courtney Fingar and broadcasted live online on the event platform.
