Implementation of the Rēzekne City Council and Rēzekne Municipality Council infrastructure development projects makes available investment object territories within Rēzekne Special Economic Zone (SEZ). In total, 8 investment objects – including two buildings and 6 vacant lots, equipped with engineering infrastructure – are available for long-term lease.
Between 2016 and 2020, Rēzekne City Council and Rēzekne Municipality Council, with the support of the EU Structural Funds are implementing in the territory of Rēzekne SEZ several large-scale infrastructure development projects that open up opportunities for further business development and investment. Within the framework of the abovementioned projects, roads and engineering communications are being reconstructed and degraded industrial territories are being revitalized.
Several investment objects in the territory of Rēzekne SEZ equipped with access roads and engineering communications are available to the potential investors. In particular, 8 investment objects are currently available for long-term lease in Rēzekne SEZ territory. Including two buildings – a warehouse-office building at Atbrīvošanas aleja 155a-K1 (Rēzekne) and a production complex on Viļakas Street (Rēzekne) – as well as six vacant lots: on Maskavas Street, Zilupes Street and on Atbrīvošanas aleja. Works are about to be completed in one of the most ambitious infrastructure development projects implemented by the City Council in Rēzekne SEZ territory – the construction of a production complex at Viļakas Street 1 (Rēzekne) with an area of 6784 m2. The tenant of the facility, who will provide a long-term investment of EUR 3,500,000 over the next three years and create 95 new jobs, will be chosen in the lease rights auction.
In addition, investors, when developing their business and implementing investment projects in the abovementioned investment object territories, are eligible for tax incentives provided by Rēzekne SEZ. At the moment, companies within Rēzekne SEZ are eligible for tax incentives up to 55% from total investment costs: 80%-100% real estate tax discount, as well as 80% discount on corporate income tax applicable on dividends.
