On October 4 Rēzekne SEZ Authority participated in forum “State Support Business” organized by Ministry of Economics, Development Finance Institution “ALTUM” (ALTUM) and Investment and Development Agency of Latvia (LIAA) to introduce entrepreneurs to support of special economic zone.

In scope of the Forum young and experienced entrepreneurs were introduced to available support for starting a business or development of an enterprise. As mentioned during the event, currently entrepreneurs in Latvia have access to various state aid measures in amount of 400 million euros. In addition to presentations of the Ministry of Economics, ALTUM, LIAA and Central Finance and Contract Institution (CFLA), participants of the event also had an opportunity to hear experience stories on establishing a business from enterprises “Inteco Wood”, “Resento”, “Caletum” and “Manco Energy Latgale”.

In the second part of the Forum participants had an opportunity to take part in networking sessions and visit exhibition stands of various business support institutions. Alongside Rēzekne SEZ Authority and the organizers of the event – ALTUM and LIAA – participants of the event could meet representatives of State Revenue Service, Register of Enterprises, State Employment Agency, Rural Support Service, Ministry of Education and Science, Latgale Planning Region, commercial banks and representatives of other organizations.

This Autumn Ministry of Economics, ALTUM and LIAA organize this type of events in all Regions of Latvia, in order to provide entrepreneurs with opportunity to receive wide range of information on available support in one place. On September 27 Forum took place in Liepāja, meanwhile in October it will take place in Jelgava and Valmiera.
